Visit to HHI

The kids and I just got back from a few days on HHI. Great weather allowed us to spend time riding bikes, riding horses (ponies), and "swimming" in the hot tub. The kids loved it! It was great to spend time with Pop Pop, Uncle Clint, Granny and Mack. Adrienne was so brave! And so proud of herself. I thought she'd freak out with the horses, but she loved it! She was more afraid of Dad's little 15 lb dogs than these big animals.

Ethan was cool, as usual.

Big Kids

Our Big Guy Ethan and his first organized sport - basketball at the YMCA. He had fun! It was hilarious to watch :) It really sparked his interest in bball though and he loves to shoot at home now.

Adrienne's BIG Girl Bed! She filled up her Potty Chart completely and earned her Big Girl Bed! She is doing great sleeping in it and going potty :)

Family Zoo Day

The Greenville Zoo is just perfect! Not too big, not too small, just right for our attention span. Cool animals. The weather this weekend was great too. . . so we ventured out.

Christmas 2010 (so far)

Our Christmas season has been packed with activities. . . . Here's a few highlights! Enjoy! Santa came to Ethan and Adrienne's school. Ethan was so excited!! He loved it. He wants "a bike that looks like a motorcycle." Adrienne also sat on his lap, but wasn't too pleased about it.

Adrienne is a total HAM! Here she is doing "Jingle Bell Rock" with her class mates. Can you tell she likes to jump? She also loves to sing and dance and just perform. She cried when the show was over, she didn't want it to end. See the video at the end.

Halloween

Grandmommy helped E and A decorate a googly-eyed pumpkin a few weeks before halloween. Great way to decorate a pumpkin!! So cute and lasts forever. mess free too! We'll do this again next year . . .

Ethan was Spiderman this year, big, strong, muscles and all.


Granny was visiting us halloween weekend and came to the kids' school costume parade. It was so cute. Adrienne LOVED being a Pink Poodle. The kids dressed up 3 nights in a row, so by the third night she didn't want to take off her costume. . . . she figured out that costume = candy!

We've moved! I am sending out address cards with our new info, or email me and I'll get it to you sooner. Didn't really want to post pics on the internet, but my email keeps sending my messages back to me and the folks want to see. So, Here's a few pics of our new "pad." We are loving the space! The weather has been great for us to enjoy the back yard too. Will explore the neighborhood a bit with the kids this afternoon, but have met a few nice neighbors so far. As you can tell by the pictures, we've got a bit of unpacking left to do.

Highlights from the Lake

We spent last week in Lake Lure, NC (near Chimney Rock) at a lake house we rented with the Anderson clan. We had lots of fun times! The weather was HOT, but the lake felt good and we swam A LOT. Here are some of my favorites from the trip. . .

Of course, after seeing Nicholas and Ashlyn kayaking, Ethan HAD to try it BY HIMSELF. Our house was in a quiet, no wake cove, with no traffic, so we let him try and he did great!

Ethan and I met Clayton and his Mom, Laura for lunch then fun at the waterpark. These two have such a great bond. It is adorable. They were in daycare together from 3 months old until Ethan moved daycares a few months ago. They goof off, crack each other up, and just pal around. I love it!

Ethan had 2 small parties this year (so far). One on Friday at school - Spiderman cupcakes! And at home today we had presents, went to a movie, played, had chinese food (his favorite), and a Spiderman cake. He has a few more celebrations coming up - one with granny and Mack and one with the Anderson clan in a few weeks.

He is so proud to be 4. He constantly talks about it, about getting bigger, being big, getting stronger, etc.
